The Supervisory Board of Directors of Antillean Co-Financing Organisation AMFO
visited Saba last week Wednesday and held discussions with Lt. Governor Sydney
Sorton at the Government Administration Building.
The supervisory board of directors, headed by Chairperson Sybilla Dekker, and
further consisting of Treasurer Marva Richardson and General Director Stanley
Betrian travelled to Saba in the company of policy assistants Raquel Weisz and
Roxanne de Leeuw, and senior project assistant Hendrickje Stoffels. The visit was to
present themselves to Saba and to photo) inform the Lt. Governor of the functioning
of AMFO and how the funding agency can assist the many NGO's on Saba with funds for
their projects. AMFO has supported many projects on the island in the past and will
continue to support many more projects once these projects have been submitted and
meet the requirements of the funding agency. Sorton said the meeting with the
delegation had been very informative. He encouraged NGO's to apply for funding in
order for them to carry out their community projects on the island. AMFO also held
discussions with the board of the AIDS Support Group Saba, which received NAf.
