bron Saba News Agency

The Supervisory Board of Directors of Antillean Co-Financing Organisation AMFO visited Saba last week Wednesday and held discussions with Lt. Governor Sydney Sorton at the Government Administration Building.

The supervisory board of directors, headed by Chairperson Sybilla Dekker, and further consisting of Treasurer Marva Richardson and General Director Stanley Betrian travelled to Saba in the company of policy assistants Raquel Weisz and Roxanne de Leeuw, and senior project assistant Hendrickje Stoffels. The visit was to present themselves to Saba and to photo) inform the Lt. Governor of the functioning of AMFO and how the funding agency can assist the many NGO's on Saba with funds for their projects. AMFO has supported many projects on the island in the past and will continue to support many more projects once these projects have been submitted and meet the requirements of the funding agency. Sorton said the meeting with the delegation had been very informative. He encouraged NGO's to apply for funding in order for them to carry out their community projects on the island. AMFO also held discussions with the board of the AIDS Support Group Saba, which received NAf. 54,000. The AMFO representatives also visited Child Focus.
