Dutch Ambassador to Washington paid courtesy visit to Saba

The Dutch ambassador of the Netherlands in Washington Mr. Christiaan Kroner paid a courtesy visit to the island of Saba on Thursday last and he was accompanied by the Netherlands Antilles Minister Plenipotentiary in Washington Mr. Norberto Ribeiro.

Ambassador Kronen met with Saba's Lt. Governor Mr. Sydney Sorton during a dinner meeting at the Brigadoon Restaurant and he was briefed about the latest developments on the island. The constitutional was also part of the discussions and also matters related to the developments of the Saba University School of medicine and tourism were discussed.

Ambassador Kronen was very interested in knowing how the community of Saba is accepting the new constitutional changes and what are they thinking about the future of the island. He was very much impressed with the island and how clean the island is being kept. The ambassador and Minister Plenipotentiary were able to tour the island and were very happy with the developments on the island.
