Traveling to Saba
Traveling to Saba is easy! The island is located 28 miles southwest of its international hub St. Maarten. Both scheduled and charter flights from St. Maarten are available and will get you here in no more than 12 minutes by air. Scheduled ferry rides from St. Maarten operate throughout the week and are a fantastic option for day-trippers who can enjoy a scenic 90-minute ride over to Saba.

Makana Ferry
Travel between Saba, Statia, St. Kitts and Sint Maarten onboard the Makana ferry. Experience weekly travel for adventures and island hopping!
The M/V Makana is a 72’ Sabre catamaran fast ferry, capable of carrying 150 passengers across two decks: a main lower deck, and an upper deck with a covered business class area and an open sun deck area. The vessel is fully air conditioned. It has a bar service area and 2 heads for passenger convenience.

Maritime and Yacht Arrivals
Yachts and other maritime visitors should contact the Fort Bay Harbor for check-in procedures, clearing customs as well as immigration. The Harbormaster will assist you with fulfilling the required formalities.
All maritime and yacht arrivals are also required to check-in with the Marine Park, the office is conveniently located at the harbor in Fort Bay. You can click here for more information.
Departure Tax
An Airport and Harbor departure tax fee of $10.00 is payable when departing Saba. Please note, there are no ATMs at the airport and harbor.
