Saba, the stunning Dutch Caribbean Island known as "The Unspoiled Queen," is a hidden gem full of unexpected experiences, making it the ideal spot for an unforgettable adventure. With its warm Caribbean hospitality, authentic charm, and abundance of outdoor activities, now is the perfect time to plan and discover Saba. Located just 12 minutes by air or a scenic 90-minute ferry ride from St. Maarten, the island offers world-class diving, incredible hiking, and a rich cultural scene. It soars 5,000 feet from the seafloor of which 3,000 feet are visible. With a population of just over 1,800, Saba is comprised of four main villages - The Bottom (Saba's capital), Windwardside, St. John's, and Zion's Hill (a.k.a. "Hell's Gate").

Rum & Lobster Fest Street Fair

Date: Saturday November 3rd, 2023

The Saba Tourist Office will be partnering with Seductive Secrets to host a street fair before the opening of the Rum & Lobster Fest. Food, entertainment and more. The street fair will also feature a free rum tasting by Unspoiled Queen Rums.

Sip & Mingle

Date: Sunday November 5th, 2023

The opening event for the Rum & Lobster Fest is being hosted by Queens Hotel in Troy Hill. There will be an arts & crafts market, lobster snacks, and rum cocktails. Live performance by Betti V and Connis. Music will also be provided by DJ Kevin Johnson. Transportation from the Tourist Bureau will be provided along with a shuttle service from the Juliana's Sports Field to Queens Hotel.

A $15 package can be purchased and includes entry to Arts Fair, 1 Lobster snack & 1 Rum Cocktail, and free rum Tasters from Unspoiled Queen Rums.

Lobster Rum Crawl

Date: Friday November 10th, 2023

Price: $75.00 per person

A fun bar hop for the participants to experience different locations in one evening. The “Rum Crawl” will have 3 groups, maximum 30 persons can participate. The meeting point will be Tropics Cafe followed by a crawl to nine bars and restaurants. Rum crawl includes a special rum cocktail, lobster bites, transportation, lobster fest merchandise pack. Groups will stay at each location for 30/45 minutes and move on to the next location.

Payment for bar crawl can be made at Tropics Cafe prior or on the day of the event. Participants should arrive between 4 - 5 PM, crawl starts at 5:30 PM. The crawl is estimated to finish around 11 PM.

Sunset Cruise

Date: Saturday November 11th, 2023

Price: $50.00 per person

An enjoyable sunset booze cruise with Sea Saba. Participants can sign up to join a relaxing sunset cruise in the waters of Saba and enjoy delicious lobster snacks, beverages, and rum punch by Unspoiled Queen Liquers.

Lobster snacks will be provided by the following restaurants: Ocean Club, Queens Hotel, and Rendezvous.

Payment can be made at Sea Saba Locations and on the day of the cruise at Fort Bay.

Space is limited to 20 passengers.

Treasure Hunt

Date: Sunday November 12th, 2023

Price: $25 per person, with children aged 12 and under enjoying free admission. 12 years and older, the fee is $10.

A fun scavenger hunt at one of Saba’s famous Trails! Activity will include Lobster Fest Merchandise pack, a chance to win fun prizes, transportation, snacks, and drinks. Only 20 participants allowed for activity. Pre-registration can be made at the Tourist Office.

Starting at 9:30 AM at the Trail Shop, join fellow hikers on a fun family friendly hike to the Crispeen trail collecting decorated stones with prizes detailed underneath them.

The treasure hunt will be led by a guide from the Saba Conservation Foundation and transportation will be provided. Participants will learn about the trail and nature of Saba and also look for the decorated stones, that will be scattered along the trail. These can be returned at the end of the hike for prizes.

Participants will end with a mingle at Saba Snack Gourmet with lobster snacks and rum mimosas.

First transport back will be at 12:30 PM.

Rum & Lobster Jam

Date: Friday November 10th, 2023

Rum drinks, lobster specials & DJ Kevin Johnson.

Date: Sunday November 12th, 2023

The closing event for the Rum & Lobster Fest. The closing event will feature live music by Elry, Kaye, and Johnny. Lobster snacks and Unspoiled Queen Rum Taster.

During the week, participate in creative workshops by different artists with lobster and/or rum inspired themes. All workshops are $50.00 per person, this also includes materials, food & beverages, transportation, and a goodie bag.

Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The class includes 1 drink, 2 lobster sliders and all materials to create 2 of the cards shown. To secure your seat, payment needs to be made at The Hideaway before November 1st.

November 12: Rendezvous Arts & Crafts Rum & Lobster Brunch

Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Create fun lobster earrings & bracelets by artist Marie de Saba.

How to get to Saba

Travelers can fly to Saba from St. Maarten in less than 12 minutes with Winair or enjoy a scenic 90 - minute ferry ride via the Edge or Makana Ferry. The Makana Ferry also offers service from St. Eustatius and St. Kitts.

Winair

Winair offers flights daily to Saba. Visitors also have the option of doing a day trip with the airline. They can travel over to Saba on the first flight of the day (around 7:00 AM) and return to St. Maarten on the last flight (around 5:00 PM).

The Edge Ferry (Under Maintenance)

The Edge offers trips to Saba twice per week, on Tuesdays, and Fridays. Passengers have the option of booking various types of day trip packages. Join the lunch & taxi tour package with a taxi tour around the island, with time for sightseeing, shopping in the town of Windwardside and a lunch at Tropics café that is included in the total cost. Hikers can choose the option of a guided hike package for the wonderous walk-up Mt. Scenery with a picnic lunch in the rainforest. Hikers also have the option of choosing a solo hiking package. Choose any of these packages from the addons during the booking process for the ferry.

Makana Ferry

Travel between Saba, Statia, St. Maarten, and St. Kitts onboard the Makana Ferry. Trips between Saba and St. Maarten are conducted 4 days a week and the Makana also offers day trip options on Thursdays & Saturdays. Departs from Bobby’s Marina in St. Maarten.

Tickets can be bought through the agent on Saba called Saba C Transport or via the Makana website.
