Location Information
Hidden Garden Cottage is a legendary jewel quietly sitting at the end of a quaint, very private old lane. This beautiful resident commands a special place in Saban legend since 1890 when Captain Thomas Hassell commissioned its construction.
You enter the cottage’s cool interior through an exceptional arched porch detailed with the island’s fancy trim. Beautifully restored antiques elegantly and comfortably appoint the rooms. So many original features remain intact. Each exterior door retains the original stain glass. Richly patinaed vintage floors flow throughout the open, airy rooms each painted in warm white with beautiful soft blue ceilings. The original interior curved doors open into each room. In the up-to-date gourmet kitchen you’ll find the original old stone hearth that adds a level of authenticity to the home. The rooms are unusually large for this period and make for lovely living and entertaining spaces. The spacious and comfortable master bedroom has a modern bathroom that leads to an outdoor shower. A lovely study and TV room offer space to relax or work.
